Our Lesson Program has been developed to accommodate
the inexperienced to competitive level riders, without the competitive atmosphere. We are here to help kids and adults of
all ages and abilities reach their own goals and to help set new ones. We offer both English and Western lessons emphasizing
safety first. A portion of your lesson will be learning how to work safely around horses, grooming and tacking up, while still
focusing on reaching your riding goals and expectations.
Currently we have 12 lesson horses available, including
Quarter horses, Appaloosas, Paints and a little Mustang, ranging in ages from 6-22. We offer walk-trot horses that will safely
carry the first-time rider around the arena, to horses that will challenge the most advanced rider interested in showing and
gaming.
Our Training Program
develops good habits that last. Specializing in working horses from ground on up, we will customize programs for you and your
horse with your overall objectives in mind. We can also help you overcome specific obstacles that you may be facing with your
horse.
Formerly the Honey Do Ranch in Newark, Illinois. Saddle-Up-Stables came to be
in January 2003. My dream has always been to have my own barn and surround myself with quality people and lots of animals.
Here at Saddle-Up I have been able to fulfill that dream with the help and extraordinary talent of my staff. We have 23 acres
to work with and ride on, we trail ride and camp with our boarders (our friends), and last but not least, provide the opportunity
to share this with existing horse-lovers and new ones.
As owner, I cordially invite you to visit us, meet great folks and see why it becomes such a
passion for people. Please tour our site for a more complete picture of our facility. We welcome your comments and thank you
for your patronage.
Sincerely:
Marni McClennan
